Let´s kick things off with five key features of laser treatments and why it is one of our favourite techniques for hair removal.
1. A Pain-Free Treatment
Our Soprano ICE Machine uses the (yes, ridiculously named, but super effective) technology called SHR (Super Hair Removal) that continuously cools the skin during a treatment making sessions both comfortable and virtually painless.
2. Safe for All Skin Tones
Laser hair removal works on fair to dark and even tanned skin. With minimal risk of burns and pigmentation issues - thanks to the inbuilt contact cooling system in the hand piece that keeps your skin chilled.
3. Quick and Efficient
Using a gliding motion technique the treatment quickly covers large areas for faster treatments.
4. Long Lasting Results
The treatments aims to target hairs in their different stages of growth to create as permanent of a hair reduction as possible.
5. Minimal Downtime
Other than some occasional and slight redness, that returns to normal with hours after the session, our laser treatments has no recovery time.
So what about results then? Well, usually most notice a difference in hair growth after just 1-2 sessions. Our goal however is not to just book sessions. But instead we aim to time your treatments with your hair growth cycle for longer-lasting results. Wasting less time and money.
Every area of your body has its own hair growth cycle
From head to toe, different zones grow hair at different times. For example, your legs alone have up to six separate growth cycles. That’s why we don’t recommend full-body laser sessions. Timing is key, and treating everything at once often leads to higher costs and less effective results.
Instead we focus on targeted, well-timed treatments for the best results - and value. In contrary to full-body laser and bulk purchase packages are more for marketing and profit, rather than client success.
That was basically the most important bits about laser and where and how to get started. Please see or FAQ for any other related questions you might have. And if you can’t find what you´re looking for we are never further away than an e-mail using the form above.
Laser hair removal offers long-term, lasting results. But we believe the word permanent can be a little misleading, so here’s how it really works.
Once a hair follicle is successfully treated, it won’t grow back. But your body is smart. It has follicle “reserves” and over time new follicles can (and mostly likely will) wake up. Hormone shifts, stress and certain medical conditions can all trigger this. A process that will keep happen during your entire life.
In the bigger picture though, laser is still so worth it.
We often hear; “I’ll wait until after pregnancy / menopause / exams" etc. But the truth is that there’s rarely a perfect time to start. Even one session can shift how you feel about your skin and give you a break from constant hair removal.
Starting now means you’re one step closer to hair removal freedom, and less daily skin stress.
Laser targets the hair follicle with light, which turns into heat. The pigment in the follicle absorbs this heat, damaging it so it can’t grow new hair.
The catch? Laser only works on hairs in their active growth phase. Since not all hairs grow at the same time, treatments are spaced a few weeks apart to catch each one when it’s ready.
We use Soprano ICE Platinum for our treatments, a laser hair removal system known for being gentle, effective on all skin tones, and virtually pain-free. Instead of sharp zaps, it gradually warms the skin, making the treatment feel more comfortable.
Laser hair removal used to work best on light skin with dark hair, since the contrast made it easier for the laser to target the pigment. Today’s advanced technology is safer and more effective for a wider range of skin tones and hair types.
Over time, and with repeated treatments, targeted areas show visibly reduced hair growth.
Most of our clients start to see a visible reduction in hair growth after just one session. However, laser hair removal isn’t a one-and-done treatment. That’s because hair grows in cycles and only hairs in the active growth phase (called the anagen phase) can be effectively treated by laser.
At any given time, only a portion of your hair is in this phase. That’s why multiple sessions are needed, to catch each hair at the right point in its cycle for long-term reduction.
As treatments progress, you’ll notice:
Our goal isn’t just less hair - it’s more comfort, smoother skin, and long-lasting results. With the right timing and consistency, laser gives a freedom that waxing, shaving, and other methods never can.
Alma Lasers, that developed Soprano Ice Platinum (which is the machine we use for our treatments) designed the machine to have contact cooling built directly into the hand piece. A feature that makes the skin chilled and comfortable during the full length of any treatment.
The reason it works so well is because your skin mostly feels the negative 3 degrees the cooling system uses to counter the heat from the laser as it works.
Traditional Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers typically use cryogen spray or air cooling to reduce heat on the skin. These systems often have the cooling further away from the skin, making it somewhat less effective.
As for the actual treatment metod Soprano Ice Platinum uses SHR technology, which gradually heats the hair follicle by delivering low-energy pulses at a high repetition rate. A method that minimises discomfort and reduces the risk of burns.
In contrast, Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers use a single-pulse delivery method, where the laser energy is released in one high-intensity pulse per shot. This approach means more direct heat at once, potentially leading to a higher risk of discomfort and sensitivity during the treatment and the recovery process.
Full-body laser may sound appealing, but in reality, it’s rarely cost-effective or beneficial in the long run.
While it’s a popular marketing angle, it overlooks the crucial fact that every area of the body has its own unique hair growth cycle. When you treat everything at once, on the same schedule, many areas end up being treated at the wrong time, leading to minimal results and wasted money.
We often see clients who’ve had full-body packages elsewhere and are frustrated with how little progress they’ve made. The issue here isn’t the laser, but the timing of the treatments.
That’s why we take a smarter approach with targeted, well-timed treatments that follow your hair’s natural rhythm. This gives you better results, fewer sessions, and real long-term value.
We understand the appeal of buying multiple sessions upfront and on the surface, it looks like a total money-saver. However we’ve chosen a different approach for two important reasons.
That’s why we keep things simple and flexible. You pay as you go, your treatments are timed for maximum results, and your investment is always protected.
