Waxing that respects your skin, when your hair growth doesn’t.
From ingrowns to hormonally driven hair growth, we offer thoughtful waxing focused on skin health, not speed. Every treatment is performed with care, precision, and attention to your skin barrier.
Bare Solutions Waxing is Different.
Many people come to us after waxing experiences that felt rushed, painful, or left their skin reactive.
Our focus is not speed — it’s skin response, comfort, and recovery.
Our approach:
- Skin is assessed before every treatment
- Techniques are adapted to your skin type and area
- Products are chosen to calm, not strip
- Aftercare is explained clearly — not assumed
Waxing should not leave your skin feeling inflamed or compromised.
What waxing can help with
Waxing removes hair from the root, which means:
- Smoother skin for longer than shaving
- Softer regrowth over time
- Less daily friction on sensitive areas
It can be a good option if:
- Shaving causes irritation or ingrown hairs
- You want longer-lasting smoothness
- You prefer a low-maintenance hair removal method
We will always tell you if another option (such as laser) may suit you better.
Areas we wax

- Is prone to ingrown hairs
- Has been treated with acids, retinoids, or lasers
If waxing is not appropriate at that time, we will say so.
Skin health always comes first.
Aftercare matters more than you think
Proper aftercare reduces:
- Redness
- Ingrown hairs
- Sensitivity
We give clear, realistic guidance you can actually follow, not a long list of rules.
Is waxing right for you?
Waxing may be suitable if:
- Your skin is currently balanced
- You want longer-lasting smoothness than shaving
- You are not using contraindicated products
If you are unsure, book a consultation or phone call before your appointment.
Waxing or Laser Hair Removal?
Waxing and laser are not opposites — they serve different needs.
- Waxing is ideal for short-term smoothness and maintenance
- Laser suits those looking to reduce hair growth long-term
Many clients start with waxing and later transition to laser once skin and routines are stable.
We help you choose based on your skin, your hair, and your timeline — not trends.

FAQ - Waxing
How long does my hair need to be before waxing?
Hair grows in cycles, not all at once. Waiting around 4–5 weeks allows the shorter hairs under the skin to reach the surface, so more hair can be removed in one treatment.
We can remove hair as short as 1 mm, but if many hairs haven’t surfaced yet, you may notice new growth just a few days later.
That’s why timing — not hair length — affects how long your results last. Waxing before a holiday can still be helpful if the goal is to make shaving easier, but for the best long-term results, planning ahead is important.
In some cases, 2–3 correctly spaced treatments help even out hair growth over time.
If you’re unsure when to book, contact us and we’ll help you plan the timing for your best results.
Can I wax if I use retinol, acids, or active skincare?
Possibly — but timing matters.
Products such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, or prescription skincare can increase skin sensitivity.
Please tell us what you’re using so we can assess whether waxing is suitable or should be postponed.
Is waxing safe for sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes, when done correctly and at the right time.
We adapt technique and products based on your skin’s condition.
If your skin barrier is compromised, we may recommend waiting or choosing another option.
How often should I wax?
Some clients wax every 4–6 weeks, some every 8-12 weeks and then there is always our seasonal clients.
Your waxing schedule is individual to you and we will guide you to make sure you have results that fit your skin and lifestyle.
What should I avoid after waxing?
For 24–48 hours, avoid:
- Heat (hot baths, saunas, intense exercise)
- Tight clothing on the treated area
- Active skincare products
We give you clear aftercare guidance at your appointment.
You can also visit our aftercare info in the footer of our website.
Is waxing better than shaving?
Waxing removes hair from the root, giving longer-lasting smoothness and less daily irritation for many people.
Shaving may suit some skin types better.
We do not believe there is any "best" hair removal - it is individual and you can use many different methods combined and on different parts of the body. We will always give you a full view of every method and encourage you to test different methods where it is in your best interest .
